The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, visited this morning the headquarters of the project "Everyone wins", of Attention and Promotion of the Personal Autonomy of People with Intellectual Disability, which Fundown has launched in the municipality.
The project, which was selected among the more than 600 that were submitted to the call for More Employment of the La Caixa Foundation, financed by the European Social Fund, aims at the social and labor inclusion of people with disabilities in the municipality of Águilas.
"Labor inclusion is, without a doubt, fundamental to favoring the autonomy of all young people integrated into this project, which is why I am enormously grateful to Obra Social La Caixa and, of course, to Fundown for having chosen our municipality to develop this project, "said Moreno.
For his part, Pedro Martinez, manager of Fundown and president of CERMI in the region, stressed that "our goal is to facilitate the integration into the ordinary labor market of people with intellectual disabilities, developing a comprehensive process of intermediation, career guidance and care individual under the methodology of supported employment ".
