The Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users Virgen de los Dolores, in collaboration with the City of Águilas, yesterday celebrated its traditional Nativity scene contest;
an act that this year reached its XX edition.
The evening began with the performance of the choir of the association, responsible for entertaining the afternoon with a selection of popular Christmas carols and giving way to the ceremony of trophies.
In the Belenes category of Educational centers, the Urci Occupational Center won the most traditional Bethlehem trophy;
San Juan de las Águilas won the prize for the most original Nativity scene;
while the Carlos V won the title to the Bethlehem of new creation for the significant increase in images in it.
Within the Family Belens category the winners were: Ana Linares (Traditional Bethlehem), Hilario Gris (original Bethlehem), Francisco Miras (Bethlehem of new creation) and Pepi Albarracín (special mention to the Christmas decoration).
In the section of Belenes of exhibition were María García (Belen more original), Ginés Morata (traditional Bethlehem) and Pedro Ruiz (Bethlehem of new creation) the winners.
The María Inmaculada school won the best-valued Belén trophy overall, while Antonio García Ayala was also recognized for the donation of the impressive San José Bethlehem to the town of Águilas.
