The mayor of Environment, Isabel María Torrente, presented this morning the day tribute to David Aparicio Castrillo, recently deceased, that next January 13 will be held in the municipality.
"David, an agricultural engineer from the Chuecos farm, leaves a large footprint that is difficult to erase due to his vitality and passion for nature.
From the Department of Environment, with the collaboration of many friends, we have considered necessary to develop a day tribute to which was the alma mater of numerous research, teaching and sustainable development activities developed on the farm of Chuecos, space included in the Natura Network 2000 ", the mayor has assured.
The activities will begin at 10:00 am with the opening of the Ecological Community Garden "El Huerto de David" (next to the Hermanos Buitrago soccer field) and from 11:30 they will move to the Fairgrounds;
where, under the title "Project and Dreams with David", a total of seven papers on sustainable projects will be developed with the participation of Domingo Jiménez Beltrán, president of Castillo de Chuecos;
Francisco Robledano, coordinator of the Protected Areas Master of the UMU;
José María Egea, Professor of Botany at the UMU;
Fernando González, partner of Ecoagrícola Talayón;
Álvaro Garrido, beekeeper from Campo Miel;
Juan Molina, director of Casa Pareja;
and the architect María Medina.
After the presentations, the performances of the batucada D'AKOKAN and TeyDe Theater School will take place after which all the attendees will be able to taste two large paellas.
From 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., there will be musical performances, Power Point projection, Graffiti, DJ's and exhibition of organic products.
