Strengthen the collaboration and coordination between Civil Guard and Local Police of Águilas in matters of public safety is one of the objectives of the collaboration agreement that this week signed the City of Águilas with the Ministry of the Interior.
One of the main benefits that this agreement will offer will be the possibility of exchanging information between these two bodies.
Thus, as pointed out by the mayor of Águilas and Councilor for Public Safety, Mari Carmen Moreno, Guardia Civil will provide the Local Police on a monthly basis with statistical data regarding the criminal activity in Águilas as well as a summary of the evolution of crime in the municipality .
On the other hand, the mayor continued, the necessary formulas will be enabled so that both bodies have access to the police databases on judicial requisitions and missing persons, as well as stolen vehicles and objects of police interest.
In the same line, thanks to this agreement, it will be possible to use joint frequencies in certain devices, thus facilitating the coordination between both bodies.
Some measures that - in the opinion of the mayor of the municipality - "are aimed at improving the safety of our municipality and offer a faster and more effective response to citizens."
