The mayor of Tourism of the City of Águilas, Ginés Desiderio Navarro, presented this morning at a press conference the calendar of free guided tours for the year 2018, which - assured Navarro - "includes outstanding news resulting from the assessments and suggestions offered by the 1,258 people who have participated in the routes carried out throughout 2017 ".
Thus, among the main modifications is the one referring to the routes in English.
"The surveys conducted among English-speaking tourism have shown that these visitors are especially interested in knowing aspects related to their past in Águilas, for this reason it has been decided to develop, throughout this year, the railway route in English keeping, of course, the one that is done in Spanish ".
But this new guided route will not be the only novelty for this year.
The mayor of Tourism also referred to the organization and development of the Cuatro Calas-Juan Francisco Mota Poveda route that will run along the SL-MU18 trail and that will allow the natural and cultural values ​​of the area to be enjoyed for just over two hours.
The Teatralized Route will also be modified by taking a leap in time and leaving the characters of the sixteenth century who starred until now to enter the world of the Roman Eagles.
Finally it will complete the offer of free guided tours of the Route through the Historical Center of the city that, as a novelty, during the summer months will have a nocturnal character.
Finally, the mayor has referred to the statistical data of the routes made in the past year 2017 and obtained an average score of 9 out of 10 in the assessments made by all those people who enjoyed them, who scored with a 9.69 the attention of the personnel in charge of developing them.
