The Association of Diabetics of Eagles (ADIA) celebrated yesterday the contest of sugar-free sweets and cakes;
an act with which, from the association, claim to demonstrate that "there are many products that can replace sugar and are perfect for making tasty desserts," said Yolanda Gallego, president of the association.
In this fifth edition of the contest were presented 10 desserts made by children and 8 desserts made by adults, all of them with a very high level which made it very difficult for the jury, composed by the mayor of Health, Rosalía Casado;
the mayor of companies providing services, Isabel Fernández and the businesswoman Carolina Buitrago, choose the winners.
Finally, the adult awards went to Susana Gallego, who with her "Rainbow Cupcakes" won the trophy for the best presentation.
On the other hand, Isabel Díaz with her "Bizcocho de Nueces" and María Cazorla with the "Tarta de Frutas" achieved the first and second place respectively in the most succulent dessert without sugar.
On the other hand, the children's prizes went to the most original, whose first three positions went to Elena and Lluna with her "Rainbow Cake", Adrián Gallego with her truffles "Que la fuerza escort" and Daniel Díaz for making a "Pizza de fruits";
although all the children were given a gift for their participation.
