Francisco Navarro: "The Popular Party echoes the needs of aquiline farmers and hopes to get the support of the rest of the municipal political groups in this proposal."
The popular councilor explains that this motion has been presented to the demands of small and medium farmers in our municipality to which the regime of objective estimation of agricultural activity, known as tax modules, is applied.
Francisco Navarro continues saying that in recent years there has been a loss of profitability in agricultural activity due to high production costs, including water, an element that has always been very expensive in our area, and that The drought has meant that most of this resource comes from desalination with the price increase that this entails.
According to the popular councilor, during 2017, in crops such as tomatoes in Águilas, the high pressures of insect vectors have caused levels of virus to rebound (Spoon virus-TYLCV), despite the prevention measures that all farmers apply.
What has caused an increase in production costs deepening in the reduction of profitability of this crop.
For all this, from the Popular Party we want to support this demand "Urging the Regional Government to carry out the necessary technical reports for the reduction of Tax Modules applied to farmers in our municipality in crops such as tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. "
and transfer this agreement to the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration.
