The 2nd edition of the Aguilas de Relato Breve Award;
a contest launched last year by the Department of Culture with the aim of retaking the literary movement that marked the history of our town in the sixties, was presented this week by the mayor of Culture, Lucía Hernández, and the Manager of the Auditorium and Conference Center, Ramón Román.
This year, in which the contest arrives with the support of almost 300 works that were presented in the last edition, the economic amount of the first prize has increased by 50%, going on to have an allocation of 1,500 euros in addition to the publication of the work.
Regarding the deadline for submission of works, this will last until May 30, after which the Culture Commission will begin the process of selecting them.
A Commission to which the mayor thanked "the important work they do in a totally disinterested way in favor of culture in Águilas".
