This weekend has concluded the XVII Carnival Regatta - V Estrella de Levante Trophy, organized by the Aguilas Nautical Club in collaboration with the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, with an inscription of 47 cruises, of which 34 have completed the tests and more of 300 sailors.
The second race had a meteorological conditions totally opposite to the first one played on day 4, when the fall of the wind put the conclusion of the race at risk.
On this occasion, the gentle wind of the N was increasing in intensity throughout the day, providing a great show to all who visited Águilas on the occasion of Carnival.
The beacon located in the center of the Bay of Levante allowed to see in the first line the maneuvers of its crew.
The winners of the different classes were:
Class 1 and 2, KUNDAKA ELITE SAILS of the RCR Cartagena, patronized by José Coello
Class 3, PENEQUE of the cn San José de Almería, patronized by Rafael García
Class 4, SALEROSO 2.0 of the CN Aguilas, patronized by Carlos Martínez
Class E, AITANA III of the RCR Cartagena, patronized by Juan Manuel Gutiérrez
The award ceremony was attended by the Councilor for Tourism, Mr. Desiderio Navarro, President of the Association of Peñas de Carnaval, Mr. José Alonso, the President of the Sailing Federation of the R. Murcia, Mr. Arturo García, the President Club Náutico de Águilas, D. Miguel López Navares and the characters of the Carnival Musona adult and children.
