The City of Águilas received yesterday the Infoparticipa seal that the Autonomous University of Barcelona gives to the town halls in recognition of their involvement and work for transparency and citizen participation.
The mayor Tomás Consentino was commissioned to receive this badge in the course of an act chaired by the national coordinator of the project, Marta Corcoy.
Consentino said that "open government is still one of the priority objectives of the Government Team of the City of Águilas, aware of the importance of going beyond simple compliance with legal requirements in terms of transparency and determined to bet on active participation of the citizens in municipal matter and the example is this seal that only seven consistories have achieved in a Region in which 69% of the Town halls suspend in transparency, according to the parameters that measure the national quality seal Infoparticipa ".
In the same line the councilor has assessed "very positively the work done in terms of transparency by the Government Team, managing to go from a suspense in 2015 (with a valuation of 21.9% in Infoparticipa) to the current 90.38% that it places us in the top positions of the Region and the fulfillment of 47 of the 52 total indicators compared to only 9 that were met in 2015. "
