The Ministry of the Presidency and Development improves the road safety of the RM-D14 highway, which links the municipality of guilas with Calabardina, with the limitation of the speed to 60 km / h, which drops to 50 km / h in access to the Urbanization of the Collados.
The restriction extends along three kilometers, which is the length that encompasses the roundabout of the RM-D14 and the RM-D15 road, which is in the vicinity of the Hermitage El Garrobillo.
The Director General of Roads, Jos Antonio Fernndez Llad, visited the works today, which consisted in the renovation and adaptation of the horizontal, vertical and beacon markings to new traffic conditions marked by the aforementioned speed limitation, and by the prohibition of overtaking throughout the stretch.
"The vertical signage has been adapted by means of the corresponding signs of prohibition of overtaking and speed limitation in both directions of circulation", explained the general director.
The road marking on the axle has also been erased by micro-machining and a double continuous line has been painted on the road axis.
In addition, the beaconing of the curves has been renewed and larger directional panels have been installed, and roadblocks have been installed on the road every 25 meters on the axis of the road between the two continuous lines.
The general manager recalled that the average daily traffic intensity of the regional highway RM-D14 is 4,800 vehicles, of which 260 are heavy.
