The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of the Third Age, Encarna Navarro, visited this morning the participants in the training workshops on the use of the Smartphone aimed at seniors who, for the first year, are being taught in Águilas.
The Águilas City Council, the Vodafone Spain Foundation and the Iniciativas el Gigante Foundation are responsible for these courses, which will last for almost two months, with the aim of bringing the new smart mobile devices - smartphones and tablets - closer to the elderly. reduce the digital divide between generations.
The program "Digital literacy with smartphones" is currently being carried out;
a course that will be repeated and to which two courses on "Use of WhatsApp" and two others on "Facebook from mobile devices" will be added.
Those interested in participating in these workshops, which is offered at the Center for the Elderly and which are aimed at both members and non-members, can register at the Department of Senior Citizens located on the ground floor of the City of Águilas or on the phone 968 41 88 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
