The mayor of Education, Cristóbal Casado, visited the Las Lomas school this morning where, for four years, the Training Department of Ambulorca is carrying out the study "With ABC I can save lives".
The initiative, which is also carried out at the San Juan de las Aguilas school, is aimed at students in the second section of primary school who, during this time, have received theoretical talks and practical workshops on heart-healthy habits, basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic assistance in choking.
The objective of this program, as stated by Ambulorca, is to develop a statistical study that demonstrates the suitability of including first aid within regulated education as one more subject.
"In this way," they say, "we would guarantee that in a few years a large part of the population would know how to act in case of cardiorespiratory arrest."
