The Primaflor Eagles Triathlon Club won the bronze medal in the Middle Distance Duathlon Spain Championship held yesterday, in the Duathlon 90.0 Village Winds in Orihuela.
The podium of the aquiline club was the reflection of the great role played by the Murcian athletes who attended the event, where the fourteenth position of Pedro Antonio López de Haro stood out in elite category, with a time of 3 hours, 8 minutes and 24 seconds.
Making top 20, with the position number 18, Salvador Escarabajal entered the finish line, also from the CT Águilas Primaflor, stopping the clock at 3 hours, 10 minutes and 5 seconds.
After him, marking position 28, his teammate, Andrés Méndez (3H: 15 ': 54' '), reached the finish line, who was followed by 29 Juan Bastida (3H: 16': 05 '',) of the Lorca Triathlon Club.
With 3 hours, 16 minutes and 37 seconds, another aquiline arrived, Pedro María Campoy, who also won bronze in the national category of Police and Fire, reaching 31 place.
Another of the Murcian participants in the elite was Bartolomé Montoya, also from Águilas, who remained in position 61 (3H: 30 ': 28' ').
In Age Groups, the Murciaians made a great paper getting 2 Golds and 1 bronze.
Juan Morcillo (3H: 15 ': 11' '), from the Triathlon Club Fuente Álamo-Caja Rural, won the gold medal at GG.EE 45-49.
The other gold went to Lukas Gubler (4H: 53 ': 33' '), from CT Águilas Primaflor, in GG.EE 70-74.
Ángel Lencina (3H: 27 ': 08' '), from Bitec Tri Impulso, got the bronze in GG.EE 50-54.
