The Minister of Finance highlights the biennial nature of the plan for this and next year with 464,504 euros for the municipality
The Plan of Works and Services of 2017, developed by the Community with the municipalities of less than 50,000 inhabitants, has allowed the renewal of the paving of the Avenue of Democracy and other roads of its surroundings in the municipality of guilas.
The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrs Carrillo, visited this morning the renovation works of the avenue and stressed that in the biennium 2018/2019 the Works and Services Plan (POS) will invest a total of 464,504 euros in various initiatives planned in the municipality, more than 232,000 euros per annuity.
Carrillo said that "this exercise, the Community has endowed the Works and Services Plan with a biennial character so that the municipalities can plan actions two years in advance and, therefore, undertake projects of greater scope and importance".
In addition, he noted that "with the Plan to support the localities of the region of less than 50,000 inhabitants, we aim to increase the quality of life of citizens as these initiatives improve infrastructure and basic facilities of municipalities."
In the case of 2017, the project amount amounts to 244,476 euros, of which the Community contributes 232,252 and the City Council 12,224.
It includes the renewal of the potable water network and the pavement of asphalt agglomerate roads in the Avenue of Democracy, Fraternity, Happiness, Coexistence and Prosperity.
Also in Manuel Azaa and Juan Mula streets, the construction of a rainwater collector and its corresponding scuppers, the renovation of sewage sewage, the renewal of the potable water network and the renewal of pavement with asphalt agglomerate are undertaken.
The counselor recalled that "the Community has not stopped investing in projects in the municipalities in the hard years of the crisis" and indicated that the Plan of Works and Services of 2015 was allocated 161,980 euros to the urban services replacement of Santa Ana Street , and in 2016 another 195,160 euros for the renovation of pavements in the Prince of Asturias street and others in Calabardina.
The Works and Services Plan for 2018/2019 will reach the 41 municipalities of the Region of less than 50,000 inhabitants.
This initiative includes more than 15.6 million euros, of which 12 are borne by the Autonomous Community.
Among the main actions include works such as improvement in streets and sidewalks, renovation of public lighting, works in parks, replacement of services and works in municipal facilities.
