The House of Culture Francisco Rabal yesterday hosted the eighth edition of the International Festival Grito de Mujer, included in the program of events organized by the Department of Equality to mark the commemoration of International Women's Day, a day that was held on 8 March.
The event, consisting of a Festival of Poetry and Art coordinated by Pedro Vera, had more than twenty participants from different parts of the Region who, under the motto "Faros de esperanza", put their voices at the service of equality and freedom.
Poetry, theater and music followed each other for more than two hours in an act that ended with the unanimous applause of all the attendees.
After the act the mayor of Equality, Isabel María Torrente, gave all participants a diploma for their collaboration in this project.
