The municipality is already preparing for the celebration of the traditional "monas".
In order to contribute to a better development of this festive and leisure period, the city council will start, for the third consecutive year, a safety and cleaning campaign consisting of equipping the beaches of Matalentisco, Higuerica, El Charco ( Sombrerico) and Rice with:
Panels with telephone signaling of interest for the knowledge of the users.
Installation of chemical toilets.
Placement of containers to collect all types of waste.
Alternative patrols visits of Local Police, Civil Guard, Civil Protection and Red Cross.
The purpose of this operation is to provide security, especially to young people, to achieve a better enjoyment of their days of 'monas', and families to transmit peace of mind that they will enjoy assistance that will help, if necessary, have the better and more immediate response to their demands.
Finally, the City Council wishes to remind you that the practice of camping during the monas is not allowed in any of the urban beaches of the town;
that is, it can not be carried out on beaches such as Calabardina, Calarreona, Hornillo, Delicias and Colonia.
