The church of San José was the scene of the fourteenth edition of the Exaltation to the Saeta festival Villa de Águilas that every year, coinciding with the Holy Week of the town, organizes the Tradition and Folklore Association, under the direction of Félix Cano , in collaboration with the Department of Culture.
The saeteros Antonio "El niño de las cuevas", Ana Mar and Antonia López, all of them from El Morato de Almería, won unanimous applause from the audience, including the mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the edil de Cultura, Lucía Hernández;
the president of the Cabildo, José Cáceres;
and numerous representatives of local brotherhoods.
This year also, was attended by José María Muñoz, in charge of staging the lyrics of Passion, the Choir of the Senior Center of Eagles and the Gospel Choir.
