Coinciding with the official start of spring, on March 21 was celebrated the "World Day of the Tree and Forests", and AFEMAC Mental Health wanted to participate actively in the events organized by the Department of Environment of the City of Águilas.
The same day 21, users of the association moved, along with members of other associations and individuals, to the Cuesta de Gos, where, by the hand of Sebastián Ramírez (official of our City Council, and one of those responsible for the dissemination of all the environmental activities in the educational centers and aquiline associations), they knew several trees, some cataloged like "monumental", such is the case of "the almond tree of the Cuesta de Gos".
On the 22nd, the users and workers of AFEMAC, accompanied by the Councilor for the Environment, Isabel Torrente, went to the place known as "Molino del Saltador", where reforestation work was carried out on native trees on the banks of the ravine that crosses this place, in particular figs and mulberry trees were planted.
They also placed "nest boxes" made in the facilities of AFEMAC by the users themselves, for different species of birds.
