The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, met yesterday with the Minister of Education, Adela Martínez Cachá, in a meeting in which the mayor stressed the need to increase the training offer in Águilas.
The mayor, who attended this meeting accompanied by the edile of Education, Cristóbal Casado, and the directors of the IES Carlos III, Alfonso Escámez and Europe, also noted that "it is essential not only that the training offer in the institutes of Águilas will be expanded, but it will be done with a catalog adapted to the needs of the locality, which would guarantee the work opportunities of the young students ".
Thus, Moreno once again urged the Ministry on the need to implement the Medium Degree of Kitchen Service that both the IES Carlos III and the City Council has been claiming for three years.
The implementation of a Dual FP related to the agricultural sector was another proposal that both the City Council and the institutes made reach the Ministry.
After the meeting both the mayor and the mayor of Education welcomed the meeting and announced that among the commitments made by the Ministry is to implement the Bachelor of Arts for the next year and study the proposals presented at the meeting from yesterday.
