The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the Town Planning mayor, Tomás Consentino, recently visited the facilities of the Local Court of Peace where, a few months ago, a consistent action was carried out on the land filling and subsequent replacement of the same since in him important sinkings were noticed that had turned this space into impracticable.
The works have also included the reinforcement of a part of the walls as well as the creation of more open spaces.
The performance has managed to significantly improve a space that, assured the justice of the peace, Domingo Lopez, records a great activity.
Thus, in the Memory of the Peace Court of Águilas in 2017 a total of 556 registrations were registered, corresponding to 299 births, 130 marriages and 127 deaths.
In addition to this, 60 conciliation acts were carried out, 2,614 cooperation requests were attended, of which 1,373 were civil and 1,241 criminal and 4,528 certifications were extended.
During the visit, both Moreno and Consentino agreed that a place that registers so much activity "needs to be in optimal conditions and guarantee the safety of both the people who come to him to perform some procedure and the personnel who perform their work in the same".
