The mayor of Local Development, Gins Desiderio Navarro, has reported that unemployment in the town has recorded an annual decline of 134 people from 2,509 unemployed in March 2017 to 2,375 the same month this year, as reflected by the latest published data by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia SEF.
"Although, although it is true that the municipalities do not have competences in matters of job creation, what they can do is work to encourage it by offering entrepreneurs who want to settle in the locality all the necessary facilities by the local administration," said the mayor.
Finally, and despite the positive of these data, Navarro has insisted that "talking about unemployment can never be assessed as something positive so we must continue working on policies that result in improvements for all residents of Aguilas."
