The City of Águilas, through the Department of Health, will start, next week, a campaign of preventive treatment against cockroaches in the sewer network that will last for four weeks extending to all urban areas of the municipality of Águilas .
The objective of this action is to develop an integral whipping coinciding with the reproduction period of these insects.
This crash plan works as a complement to the actions that, in specific areas and according to specific needs, are carried out periodically.
Also, the mayor of the area, Rosalía Casado, has anticipated that the next month of June will be repeated treatment to ensure the effectiveness of it.
To develop this action, the municipality has been divided into areas beginning the process in the most remote areas of the urban center.
Later the disinfection works will be extended to the districts and areas further away from the urban area, being marked with a colored mark the sewers that have already been treated.
From the Department of Health have reminded the public about the importance of these actions are completed with public awareness.
It is essential that the trash removal schedules are respected and that refuse to be deposited on public roads as this type of incivilities favor the appearance of rodents and insects in our municipality.
