The mayor of Águilas, Mari Carmen Moreno, yesterday visited the students of the open classroom workshop "Learning to care and take care of oneself", set up by the City Council with the aim of improving the quality of life of families with aquiline people in a situation of dependency under their care.

This open classroom, which will be active during the months of April and May in municipal offices, is made up of different monographic workshops in which the assistants will be instructed and advised on the best way to carry out their care work.
Specifically, the scheduled workshops are:
"Take care of yourself: caregiver skills to take care of healthy".
"Techniques of mobilization, transfer and ambulation of people in situations of dependency".
"The hygiene of the person in situation of dependency and maintenance of the environment".
"Pressure ulcers: identification, prevention and care from the perspective of the caregiver."
"Prevention of accidents and first aid for people in situations of dependency."
Care of the person with Alzheimer's disease: understanding and coping with the disease "
"Mental health and dependence: specific care".
The sessions will be held in the Municipal Building of the Placetón (C / Floridablanca, 9B), being the free assistance prior registration and until completing groups.
