Águilas counts since last week with a Local Trade Council;
an organism whose regulation was approved unanimously by all the political groups in the plenary session last November.
The Council of Local Trade, chaired by the mayor, Mari Carmen Moreno, and constituted by the mayor of Commerce, Encarna Navarro, representatives of all political groups with municipal representation (PSOE, PP, IU and Eagles Can), Association of Merchants and Industrial, Tourism and Hospitality Association, representatives of the Plaza de Abastos as well as Águilas Plaza Shopping Center, "is an organ of participation with an advisory nature that was born with the objective of analyzing difficulties and potentialities of local commerce as well as to determine lines of action and action in this matter ", assured Moreno.
Among the issues addressed in this first session of the Council, he highlighted the Águilas Plaza Shopping Center, an aquiline establishment that "despite not going through its best, will not close its doors";
an affirmation with which the Council wanted to put an end to the rumors that in recent weeks have not stopped circulating through social networks.
In this regard, the mayor and president of the Council stated categorically that "this favor is being done to this commercial establishment with this type of comments that, far from attracting investors, in effect produce insecurity for those who might be interested in establishing themselves in it".
Affirmation, the latter, which was ratified by all the members of the Council.
