The regional deputy, M ª Carmen Moreno, request an explanation from the Ministry of Environment on the failure of a pumping station treatment plant in the town of Aguilas which has led to the closure of the central beach of La Colonia for almost two days by the spill wastewater to it.
Moreno explained that this event is not understood since the cited pumps pumping station were changed recently, thanks to funding from State Fund (Plan E) but the company ESAMUR (Regional Entity Sanitation and wastewater purification the Region of Murcia) has to carry out routine maintenance of wells pumping services to the filter is not clogged the pumps.
"This serious incident, which occurred yesterday in Eagle, has caused that in the middle of August will have to close one of the busiest beaches of the municipality to the detriment of citizens."
Socialist Parliamentary Group in the Regional Assembly asked if the company also ESAMUR, is doing the maintenance and the date of the last review by the company.
