The mayor of Eagles and the mayor of Aging today attended a concelebrated Mass and had a meeting with residents and members of the Governing Body of the Centre.
Eagles Mayor, Juan Ramírez Soto and the mayor of Third Age, Josefa García, visited on Wednesday, September 28, the Private Railway Pensioners of the city, where they have held events commemorating the "Day of the Resident ".
After holding a concelebrated Mass, which took place at 12:00 pm in the chapel of the residence, authorities held a meeting with residents and members of the Board of Directors.
Throughout the day, is scheduled to conduct various activities to commemorate this day, among which are: starting a new assisted terrace, holding a fellowship meal or several shows, among other acts.
The Association of Railway Pensioners Residences was created in Madrid in 1931, to April 1970 but not opened the Eagle Centre.
Facilities that currently have 161 residents, with them, side by side in the municipality of San Juan (Alicante), the only residences belonging to this group.
Although in the beginning only allowed to train or immediate family, today this residence welcomes you to all audiences, according to availability of seats, taking as a prerequisite to become a member of the Centre.
