The Municipal Hall of Eagles, held today Tuesday, October 26, approved the proposal for designation of "Infanta Elena" for the Auditorium-Congress Palace in the city.
The designation of the name has received the favorable votes of almost all political groups represented in municipal (PP, PSOE, MASD and Mixed) and one abstention of the United Left.
After this step, the mayor of Eagle, Juan Ramírez Soto, sent to the Palacio de la Zarzuela the offer of the Municipal Corporate plenary to consider the Royal Family to accept both the proposed meeting, the invitation to His Royal Highness the Infanta Doña Elena attend the opening ceremony, which could take place between March and April 2011.
Born in Madrid on December 20, 1963, His Royal Highness the Infanta Doña Elena Maria Isabel Dominica de Silos de Borbon y Grecia is the eldest daughter of the King of Spain, Don Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia.
He is currently Director of Cultural and Social Projects of the Foundation Mapfre.
In addition to his official activities, the Infanta personally supports and participates in numerous activities of educational and cultural.
