Among the highlights of the weekend with the Eagles are: the inauguration of the VII National Amateur Theatre Competition "Paco Rabal," Choice of Queen of the Third Age and a cooking workshop.
The first events will take place on Saturday, November 6 at 20:00 pm in the Salon of Hotel Don Miguel, with the staging of the first of four films for competition within the new release of the Competition Theatre Paco Rabal.
The inaugural representation, under the title "The Innocents", will be borne by the company Alicante "Medusa D'Or."
This is an adaptation of "Picnic" by Fernando Arrabal, directed by Juan Galindo, which tells the story of a soldier who receives, at the very front of battle, a visit from his girlfriend and her sister, to stay happy day Sunday and help overcome the loneliness of the trench.
Of the more than 20 works submitted for the contest, from different parts of Spanish territory, which have been selected and will be on stage are:
November 6: "The Innocents" Company "Medusa D'Or" in Alicante.
November 13: "Ring for a lady," the company "Grupo de Teatro Carlos Lemos" in Madrid.
November 20: "Il rescue of Belladonna" Company "Barana Teatre" in Valencia.
November 27: "Fortunes of Andromeda and Perseus", the "Theatre Group at the University of Alicante."
On Saturday, December 11, will be the closing event and award ceremony, which will serve the Group Theatre at the University of Murcia.
The performances, with free entrance until full capacity, will take place on designated days at 20:00 am in the Hotel Don Miguel.
The municipality of free buses chartered Eagles, who will leave at 19'15 hours from the Esplanade of the port, returning again to the place of departure to complete the works.
Another of the most significant events in the coming days will be conducting a cooking workshop for the entire family, taught by the teacher, Santiago Díaz Franco, organized in collaboration with the Nursing and Upbringing Feliz.
Will take place on Sunday, November 7, from 10:30 to 17:30 pm in the Halls of Hotel Don Miguel.
The weekend will end with the conclusion of the election of Queen of the Third Age, which will be held on Sunday at 21.00 pm in the Municipal Center "Sicilian Antonio Segura," which is scheduled to attend various local authorities and the current Queen, Antonia Manzanera.
