The Council of Ministers last Friday has been informed of the emergency works being carried out to repair the damage caused by heavy rains last summer on the coast of the towns of Aguilas and Lorca Mazarrón.
Emergency works are being carried out on the coast of Murcia municipalities most affected by heavy rains last August, as were the coastal Aguilas and Lorca Mazarrón and have a budget of 632,609 euros.
The damage caused by heavy rains and floods during the month of August in the littoral of the municipalities mentioned, have required urgently undertake the refurbishment of the beaches as well as cleaning and repair of infrastructure them to avoid the risks and hazards to users.
The refurbishment works are basically conducting filled with sand in the tunnels out of the streams, clean beaches with manual and mechanical means, loading and transport to landfill of waste discharge, extension and replacement of sand in the affected areas for their losses, with particular emphasis on urban beaches, general reshaping of beaches and damage repair of various infrastructures.
Columbine beaches where it was found necessary to perform these actions are:
Matalentisco, Casica Green, West, Las Delicias, Stove, Calabardina beach, Rice, and the stretch of coast from Playa Sombrero Beach La Galera.
