Today Tuesday, December 21, in the consistory aquiline, has carried out the presentation of the First Municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities between Men and Women of Eagles.
A plan that was endorsed and approved unanimously at the Full Council meeting held on July 27, 2010.
The ceremony was performed by the Mayor of Aguilas, Juan Ramírez Soto, director general of Family, Gender and Children, Laura Muñoz and the mayor of Welfare and Equality, Josefa García.
According to officials present, the City has assumed, through various initiatives, the development of policies for equal opportunities between women and men, creating specific structures of attention to women, in order to inform, advise and encourage their participation in the various fields that make up our society.
For the mayor, the road has been central to today I present this Municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities.
Ramirez stated that "the development reflects the commitment of the government team to continue to promote strategies and progress in achieving equality between women and men, which will allow us to build a society based on democratic principles and values."
The local chief executive also noted that "this Plan is not intended to benefit only women, but a commitment for social sustainability and quality of life."
For its part, the mayor of Welfare and Equal Opportunities stressed that "for making them have analyzed the specific situation in our town and have been conducted to ascertain the real situation of women in all areas, with the collaboration of all the departments and all areas and negotiated with political groups, with the association and the local social agents. The Minister of Welfare and equality has clarified that "now we go writing all the lines we have yet to make equality real and effective Eagles."
Finally, Josefa García wanted to thank all those who believe can and should be a more egalitarian society, working with the contribution of ideas and solutions in the development of this first Plan of Equality.
