On the evening of yesterday, Thursday 20 January at 21.30 am in the hotel rooms of the capital Santo Domingo from Spain, took place the presentation of the Tourism Competitiveness Plan "Eagles, Sea and Fisheries , a program valued at three million euros and financed in equal parts by the local administrations, regional and state levels.
The event, which has benefited from the presence of numerous public and media, has been made by the Mayor of Aguilas, Juan Ramírez Soto, the mayor of Tourism of the consistory aquiline, Clara Valverde and management representative of the Plan, José María Muñoz.
Among those attending the presentation were also able to see familiar faces as the mayors of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, La Union, Barnabas and Francisco Martín Cuevas de Almanzora, Jesus Caicedo, aquiline artist Teresa Rabal, actors and Edu Soto Asuncion Balaguer, musicians Rodrigo Eduardo and Javier Portugués, President of the Regional House of Murcia in Madrid, Luis Fernandez, among others, who wanted clothing with their presence in the municipality of Murcia.
During the course of the act have been given to know the most iconic performances of the Plan, some already underway, as is the case of a "Centre of Interpretation of the Sea and Fisheries Eco-school, which includes a live aquarium fish species in the area and the reproduction of colorful seabed.
The museum center will also display multimedia content on the real life of fishermen, the virtual representation of a typical house of these workers and a fishing boat, among other things.
Among the next steps to develop the Plan are the implementation of routes around the sea and fishing and the creation of a marine protected area between the Cabo de Cope and the Isla del Fraile.
Tourism Competitiveness Plan "Eagles, Sea and Fisheries" was created with the aim of creating a new tourist product, based on the traditional fishing and the local fishing culture, uniqueness and differentiation that gives the town compared to other destinations.
As reported by the authorities present, will gradually become aware of new work included in this project which began with the study and investigation of the elements that characterize the fishing ports in terms of: culture, traditions, history, environmental characteristics, etc.
The event included within the promotional events of the 31 th International Tourism "FITUR 2011", ended with the screening of two promotional videos, a specific plan and other generic city, which have allowed to see the attractions and the great Eagles tourism potential.
