The total number of people who requested information, in 2010, in the aforementioned municipal offices, was 25,640.
The Department of Tourism aguileño consistory has today released statistics from 2010, the number and origin of visits to the Tourist Office of Eagles.
The report by the municipal officers is clear that the amount of people served last year was 25,640, a 0'37% over the previous year.
Another of the most significant data reflecting the dossier are:
Spanish origin 19 473 (75'95%).
Of the 8,133 treated domestic tourists came from the Autonomous Community of Murcia and 11,340 were from other regions, among which are:
- Madrid (24'33%).
- Andalusia (13'42%).
- Barcelona (13'02%).
- Valencia (6'89%).
- Alicante (6'88%).
- Granada (3'62%).
Countries: 6147 (23'97%).
UK 2024 (32'93%).
1749 in France (28'45%).
Germany 1,209 (19'67%).
At a lower level are the Dutch (3'90%).
Belgium (2'39%).
0.08% did not express a point of origin.
The type of information requested is the reference to site plans, sun and sand culture (monuments, museums, places of interest ...), festive activities, accommodations, etc.
In terms of age, the highest percentage (37'87%) corresponds to the band that ranges from 30 to 60 years.
If we add this percentage to family tourism, which has the same characteristics (15.99%) get a total of 53.86%.
All these figures indicate that there has been a slight increase in the number of people served with the previous year (0.37%).
Improvement, according to forecasts, will increase during 2011.
Another important channel of consultations during the year 2010 has been the new Web of Eagles (www.aguilas.es), which greatly exceeds the number of visits over the previous year, reaching 622,902 hits and 156,486 page views from 92 countries.
