The Councillor for Education of the City of Eagle, Francisco Clemente, today held a meeting with representatives of high school students in the municipality.
In this meeting were members of the IES School Board: King Carlos III and Europe as well as delegates of Escámez Alfonso, who have passed the mayor of Education issues of most concern.
Among the topics covered, and that motivated the previous concentration of students in the Plaza of Spain, stand out as students, the concern has been generated in this group before the announced cutbacks because of the possibility that they could affect ratio increased, the delay in the replacement of teachers on sick leave and the elimination of bonus-book.
One issue, the latter, which has nothing to do with the recent measures.
On these issues, Francisco Clemente them said that the latest extraordinary measures for the sustainability of public finances will not affect, or the ratio of schools in the municipality, or the coverage of low teacher.
In the case of aid for the purchase of books, the Minister of Education has agreed with the student representatives to conduct information campaigns on specific scholarships, each year, the three governments for that purpose.
Clement has also made clear that these actions by the Regional Government are cyclical and has offered to students to schedule regular meetings, which deals with these and other issues related to education in the municipality.
Similarly, being asked to maintain a responsible and critical of the biased reporting that are coming.
