Civil Guard held the search operation from January 3 until now
This morning was found the body of the boy who disappeared on 3 January when diving in the company of another person in the vicinity of the Isla del Fraile, in the town of Aguilas.
The discovery was made by a man when he came to change a network in the area between the stove and Calabardina Bay.
This person gave notice to workers Culmarex aquaculture company, which has its culture ponds nearby, which they told the Red Cross.
Members of this movement in turn gave the information to the Civil Guard, which moved to the area to members of the Judicial Police and the Group of Specialists in underwater activities.
The officers of that body arranged to transfer the body to the dock at the port of Aguilas, where they proceeded to the identification of him as a young man who disappeared on 3 January and the beginning of all steps and measures arising from the discovery.
From the above mentioned day Civil Guard held a search operation, which varies with weather conditions and availability of staff's own body.
This operation was composed of:
- Patrols (usually between two and four) who were operating from the coast.
These were made by Public Safety personnel belonging to the Post Company Aguilas and Lorca, SEPRONA and fiscal patrol.
- Divers from GEAS (group of specialists in underwater activities of the Guardia Civil).
- The Corps Helicopter
This operation also involved the Navy divers, as well as effective Civil Defense and Red Cross Eagles.
