The Autonomous Community has financed 500,000 euro to build and equip the new Centre for Child Care (ISC) in Eagle, opened today by the Minister for Social Policy, Women and Immigration Bascuñana Joaquin, who was accompanied by Director-General Social Affairs, Leopoldo Navarro, and the mayor of the municipality, Juan Ramírez.
The amount of the project amounted to 666,667 euros, of which 166,667 correspond to the value of land, which has been provided by the City.
The CAI has a capacity of 74 seats, all subsidized by the Ministry, of which 60 are occupied.
It has six classrooms, two for each age group: 4 to 12 months, 12 to 24 and 24 to 36.
Among the services offered include: dining room, workshops, parent education, counseling, tutoring, school English and Christmas.
It is also planning to launch a summer school.
Children are served by eight professionals, from 08:00 to 17:00, with the possibility of extending the time on demand.
In the Region of Murcia, the investment in child care during the current term until last December amounted to 42,159,582 euros.
In this period we have built 86 centers Child Care and Point of Care for Children and has been renovated and equipped 24.
And add 8,218 subsidized spaces.
