The municipality has made a new blue flag granted to the Interpretation Center of the Sea, so a total of 7.
Eagles continues to lead in the municipalities of the Region of Murcia in the number of Blue Flags.
In total there will be 7 of these important distinctions which will fly during 2011 in our city.
In this new edition, the town has gotten a new flag for the Interpretation Center of the Sea, but has missed the awards he wore the beaches of Poniente and Calabardina.
These are the two most affected beaches last summer in terms of water quality concerns.
The first one had to be closed to the bathroom for 11 days for incidents that occurred at the pumping station of sewage and the second 8 days due to torrential rains of August floods that caused heavy sea, with discharges and analytical results both unflattering.
The main novelty is that Eagles have a new Blue Flag granted to the new Interpretation Centre of the Sea, whose works are being implemented today.
This award has been granted from the documentation submitted by the City of Eagle, taking into account the activities taking place therein, related to environmental education and knowledge on the Mediterranean coast, particularly to marine ecosystems in our municipality.
The 7 Banderas Blue Eagles are to:
Mar. Interpretation Centre
Playa de Las Delicias.
Playa de Levante.
Playa de "La Colonia".
Beach "Calarreona."
Marina Yacht Club.
Puerto Deportivo "Juan Montiel."
