Colony Beach has hosted the morning of Wednesday June 15th the first of the Workshop "Learning on the Beach", which this year reached its fifth edition.
Monitors of the Training Department of the Local Assembly Eagles Red Cross, supported by volunteers from the Departments of Youth Red Cross and Social Intervention and pupils have had school children Urci CEIP.
Accompanied by their parents and teachers, the boys followed closely on self-explanations and basic safety standards at beaches.
Among them, how to protect themselves from high temperatures, respect the rest after lunch, know the meaning of the colors of the flags and to identify the stations Red Cross First Aid and location to be treated if necessary.
In the 2011 edition of the workshop "Learning on the Beach", the educational community URCI CEIP has requested that all students at the school participating in the initiative, so that about 350 primary school students of that school will attend the workshops to be carried out on the beach of La Colonia de Aguilas.
