About 1,000 athletes from around the country will participate in the various tests that will be played on Friday 24th to Sunday June 26.
The mayor of Eagle, Giménez Hernández Bartolomé, Councillor for Sports, Diego Martínez Parra, President of the Federation of Athletics Murcia, Rosendo Alvarez Berenguier have offered a press conference today, in the consistory aquiline, which have given know all the details concerning the seventeenth edition of Spain's Veterans Championships in Athletics, to be held next weekend at Eagles.
According to the authorities present at the event, about 1,000 athletes from around the country will participate in the various tests that will be played in five days, distributed on Friday 24th to Sunday June 26 in the track "Jose Ruiz Lajarín" of Sports Municipal.
The competition, which takes place in the male and female categories, will consist of various tests in disciplines such as: speed, background, progress, obstacles, jumping or throwing, among others.
Both the mayor of Eagles as the Councillor for Sports, have agreed that "good sports facilities in the municipality and the exceptional climate with which the city throughout the year, Eagles make it the ideal place to celebrate such events. "
Tests, according to Hernández Bartolomé, "also benefit the hospitality industry and local trade, so that further power, since they can be a great boost to the services sector during the winter."
