The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, in a large police operation carried out since yesterday morning, March 22, on the coast of Murcia and Almeria, dubbed operation "Communion" has been apprehended half a ton of cannabis resin , also proceed with the arrest of five members of an organized network of drug trafficking and the intervention of maritime transport and land used for transporting the cache.

The Civil Guard, after taking over the detainees and effects seized, established an investigational device in order to detect more people and logistics related to this story dedicated to drug trafficking.
After a thorough inspection of the seized boat was located a homemade double bottom, which contained a large number of bales of hashish.
Fruit of the device in place, the Guardia Civil detected near the port of Eagles all-terrain vehicle equipped with a trailer for transportation of yachts on that, given the suspicions that might be implicated in the cache before, were carried out discrete surveillance on it.
Then it was found as road suspect was linked to two other cars circulating in the group, possibly in search of a second vessel involved in the same unlawful activity.
These vehicles led the deputies to the coast of Almeria, in the town of Cuevas de Almanzora, where the occupants parked vehicles until they loaded a boat, then efectuandseo identifications and related inspections, sensing that this vessel was also equipped with a double bottom and seizing homemade inside several bales of hashish, and proceeded to the arrest of five suspects.
Narcotics:
- 57 bales of hashish resin, which show a total weight of 518 kilograms.
Seized:
2 yachts, 5.5 and 7 meters in length, both equipped with double bottoms craft to transport bales of hashish.
4 cars, 2 road trailer and 2 cars.
Detainee:
We have proceeded to arrest, so far, seven people on suspicion of crimes against public health:
- Spanish, 24 years and resident of Roquetas de Mar (AL).
- Spanish, 41, resident of Roquetas de Mar (AL).
- Spanish, 28 years and resident of Berja (AL).
- Spanish, 32, neighbor Berja (AL).
- Spanish, 28 years and resident of Berja (AL).
- Spanish, 28 years and resident in Adra (AL).
- Spanish, 38, neighbor Berja (AL).
Five of the seven detainees with a history of committing criminal acts before.
The detainees, seized drugs, cash seized and proceedings initiated will be made available to the Court of Instruction No. 7, Lorca (Murcia).
