The Center for Paper File Restoration Regional de Murcia, under the Directorate General for the Promotion of Culture and the Book, has been restored to the Municipal Archives of Eagles one of the most valuable documents and was in poor condition.
This is the "book of the population census of 1895," the first of the municipality, and of great interest for genealogical research.
This restoration was made following a report by the municipal archivist, Josefa Navarro, in describing the document, assessing the damage caused by moisture, time and handling as well as its value as a reference for research and the history of Eagles, because it is one of the manuscripts consulted the Municipal Archives.
The information collected has been used by some natural users of other countries (Argentina, France, Germany, England, etc.). Descendants of aquiline, for various reasons had to migrate, enabling them to discover their roots they could and even relatives living Aguilas did not know.
As stated by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martinez, "damage from moisture and the growth of microorganisms and fungi had weakened the paper, producing every time the book was handled it suffered further deterioration."
The mayor of Eagle, Giménez Hernández Bartolomé, stated, "With this restoration, the session may have aquiline and make available to any user or researcher that document, even extolling the value of the documentary heritage preserved in the Municipal Archives, the main source to know our history. "
