Regatta disputed between the ports of Garrucha and Eagles with the participation of thirty cruisers and one hundred fifty athletes.
The weather offered a variety of conditions that forced the crew in maneuvering and gusting winds around 30 knots and big waves.
The fleet moored in the Puerto Juan Montiel was cited at 12:00 on Saturday 6 August for the first test was on a journey of 18 nautical miles between the Ports of Eagles and Garrucha.
Played in the second race off the coast of Garrucha and Mojacar Vera was passed with a gentle breeze, allowing the fleet to reach port before 15:00 and enjoy a giant paella which concluded the event.
Organized with the collaboration of IberCaja, Club Nautico de Aguilas, Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel and APPA Andalusia in order to raise funds to help intellectually disabled associations.
Donations and sponsorship crew managed to collect a sum IberCaja of 3000 euros that were given to Ana Diaz as President of Eagles Down (Murcia) and Ignacio Martin as President of ASPRODALBA de Vera (Almería) in the trophy presentation ceremony for the Sunday in the port of Garrucha.
Their representatives thanked the sponsors fleet and offered assistance as significant, as it represented an important part of funding to develop materials and programs with partners.
On the sporting front, the boat was clearly dominates NEREO II Club de Regatas de Mazarrón and skippered by Manuel Martinez, who won all the trophies.
Some vessels showed stickers to support those affected by the earthquake of Lorca.
