The appearance of a copy of bottlenose dolphin in Playa de las Palmeras effective mobilizing rescue and security Eagles and Pulpí (23/08/2011)

A call from the Provincial Coordination Center Emergency warning of the emergence of a copy of Dolphin in the Playa de Las Palmeras, bordering the provinces of Murcia and Almeria, has mobilized troops Eagles Red Cross, Civil Defence and Police Local Pulpí and members of the Association PROMAR Almeria.

Several people alerted the emergency services informed of Murcia and Almeria on the occurrence of the dolphin, so from the base of Red Cross Eagles traveled to the scene two all-terrain and Rescue Rapid Intervention to check the status of the animal and secure the area in anticipation of a massive influx of holidaymakers as it finally happened.

When you reach the right place at the Playa de Las Palmeras, the Red Cross Rescuers found the whale beached on the sand, so that preceded reintroduce it into the sea to ensure hydration while awaiting the arrival from the Andalusian village of ADRA's PROMAR veterinarian, who had been alerted by a member of the association Pulpí neighbor.

The veterinarian asked by phone to rescuers Eagles Red Cross to inform him of the apparent condition of the dolphin, which corresponds to the family of striped dolphins, as well as basic data such as respiratory rate and heart rate of the whale, requesting maintaining a clear zone around the animal to prevent the public curiosity provoked a stress situation which definitely harm the animal.

At the moment it is carrying out its ultimate hydration before deciding to transfer to an appropriate facility where they can ensure the survival of the dolphin.
