More than 400 people gathered last weekend to mark World Health Day Metal.
On the occasion of the commemoration of World Mental Health Day, every October 10 is celebrated with the intention of raising awareness about the problems associated with this disease, the Eagles last weekend hosted the XIII Regional Meeting of Families and People with Mental Illness.
The seminar, organized by the Federation of Associations of Relatives of Murcia and People with Mental Illness (FEAFES) and coordinated by the Association of Mentally Ill of Eagles and Shire (AFEMAC), with the cooperation of the City of Eagle, began around 10:00 pm on Saturday in the Plaza del Puerto, with a welcoming ceremony presided by the mayor of Eagle, Giménez Hernández Bartolomé, which was also attended by other local authorities.
The expedition, consisting of more than 400 people, continued its program of activities with a series of guided tours of the city and lunch at the Polideportivo Municipal coexistence, where the main events took place and the performance of Ballet Oficial of Peñas del Carnaval.
According to the World Health Organization, the theme chosen this year is "Investing in Mental Health," seeking to promote investment in HIV prevention, awareness and treatment.
