The Red Cross Local Assembly of Eagles received recognition at the Volunteer Day by showing solidarity and participation in the past Lorca Earthquake May 11.
Along with the Assembly of Eagles, other Assemblies of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and the rest of Spain that contributed to alleviate the plight of the thousands affected by the earthquake of Lorca, and volunteers have received their awards as part of an act institution held in the Halls of the Chamber of Commerce.
The awards ceremony was attended by the regional president of the Red Cross, Aurelio Luna, the Director General of Immigration and Volunteer of the Regional Government, Leopoldo Navarro and Deputy Mayor, Delegate of Social Welfare and Health of the City of Murcia, M ª Carmen Pelegrin.
Moments prior to the delivery of Diplomas, Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Murcia, Jose Antonio Lozano, stepped in to offer present a paper which enhanced the value of all those who dedicate part of their free time to help others selflessly.
An aid in the Murcia sum of 9,000,000 hours near, employees in different departments and activities carried out in an altruistic way.
