The Battles of Shells, the National Competition Crow, the first parade and floats, the Proclamations of the Child and Adult Muses, as well as the Pregonera 2012 "Pepa Aniorte" are just some of the highlights of the next few days.
The city of Eagles live this weekend some of the biggest events of the Carnival 2012, a happy holiday declared of National Tourist Interest, which this year is expected to attend over 150,000 people from all over the world.
The program of events for the next few days is as follows:
Friday 17 February:
At 20:00 hours, Cuerva XXIV National Competition.
The jury Cuerva (typical drink of the Carnival de Aguilas), headed by the "Grand Master 2012", Francisco Jodar, mayor of Lorca, and made up of about 200 components in disguise, start from the headquarters of the Federation of Peñas to the City of Eagle, where they will be received by the mayor of the town, Bartolome Hernandez, and later separated into 7 groups, a delicious concoction prepared by 80 stores and kiosks in the municipality, to be selected among the best Carnival Cuervas 2012.
At 20:15 pm in the Plaza of Spain, Weighing Symbolic Character of Carnival 2012.
About 21.00 hours is set to hit the Plaza of Spain Mussona Child, Ana Rosa Lopez Perez, accompanied by his entourage.
At 21:30 pm in the Plaza of Spain, Musa Cry of the Child, Isabel Maria Hernandez Berruezo and Dialectics and Shells Battle between Don Carnal Child, Ruben Jorquera Mayor, and Doña Cuaresma Child, Ana Terrones Albarracin, in which will involve hundreds of children dressed in costumes of Carnival.
Saturday 18 February:
At 11.00 hours, leaving from the Marina, Manga Second XI Trophy Regatta, MAPFRE "Carnival of Eagles", involving 65 cruises.
At 18'30 pm in the Club rooms, with the presence of local authorities, will be the awards ceremony.
At 20'45 pm in the Plenary Hall of the City of Eagle (only Press and Protocol), receipt and delivery of awards to the Grand Master of the Crow, the Golden Shell and Pregonera 2012.
At 21'45, arrival of Musa and his procession to City Hall.
At 22.00 am in the stage of the Plaza of Spain, Dialectic and Shells Battle between Don Carnal, Jose Miguel Perez Garcia and Doña Cuaresma, Isabel García Navarro, accompanied by their hosts.
At the end, from the balcony of City Hall, Cry of the Muse, Eva Maria Salas tables, and Welcome to the Carnival of the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez.
