Eagles once again host the International Basketball Campus 'Amaya Valdemoro' (23/03/2012)

The mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, and the director of Campus, Enrique Torres, today signed a collaborative agreement whereby the city will host the Campus, both this summer and the next two years.

The International Basketball Campus "Amaya Valdemoro" 2012 will be held from 8 to 14 July, bringing together a series of parallel activities that enable participants and their guests meet and enjoy the charms of the town and attend various recreational events.

Amaya Valdemoro, who last October broke both wrists in the first game of the EuroLeague Women with his team, "Rivas Ecopolis" is a reference in the Spanish women's basketball and working on her participation in the "Final Eigth" this year.

The sporting achievements of Amaya shows who has won 3 rings of the WNBA with the "Houston Comets", 9 Leagues, 1 Euroleague 5 medals with the national team and last year he had his 9 th Queen's Cup with "Rivas Ecopolis".

The forward, 35, born in Madrid, has been included in the ideal team of the Women's League, with an average of 15.3 points per game.

It was also the top scorer of the last World Championship in the Czech Republic and the second best player in Europe in 2010, as decided by the FIBA.
