The mayor of Eagles closed last night in this course which involved a score of persons belonging to the Diabetic Association.
The mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez Gimenez, closed last night XI Diet Cookery Course, organized by the Diabetic Association of Eagles (ADIA) and funded by the Department of Health and aquiline Consistory.
These gastronomic, who participated in twenty people from ADIA, have been developed from 16 to 19 April at the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, and have been led by the head chef of this establishment, producing two daily and dessert dishes that have been able to enjoy the present.
Among the recipes were made soup of tomato and carrot salad, avocado and salmon, hake in beer, chicken drumsticks with potatoes, lemon sorbet, graham crackers or fresh orange, apple and other culinary delights.
The course also offered participants basic information about: nutrients, diets, special foods for diabetics or how to cope with the disease, among other things of interest.
During the closing ceremony, Bartolome Hernandez was accompanied by the Councillor for Health and Consumer aquiline Consistory, Ana Maria Miñarro, and the president of the Diabetic Association of Eagles, Juan Carlos Prisons, which together with the mayor handed the diplomas the course to all participants.
