Among its objectives is to provide techniques that facilitate the caregiver tasks, train them in the care of the dependent person and as a point of contact between caregivers and Social Services.
The mayor of Health, Ana Maria Miñarro, and the councilman of Culture, Francisco Miguel Martínez, inaugurón yesterday the "Workshop for Caregivers of Dependent People", held in the auditorium of the Garden of Don Jorge de Aguilas, until the next May 10 at 17.00 hours to 19.00 hours.
About thirty people involved in this workshop, conducted by the firm "Televida" with the support of the Murcian Institute for Social Action (IMAS) and the City of Eagle, which provides the caregiver techniques that facilitate their tasks and training for the dependent care, also serving as a meeting point between caregivers and Social Services.
In addition, it becomes the perfect excuse for them to put a face to the TSR with that contact whenever they or people they serve have a problem.
Ana Maria Miñarro has indicated that these meetings are part of "Caregiver Support Program of the Region of Murcia", intended to provide for dependents and, above all, their caregivers, the means to improve their quality of life .
The mayor has clarified that "these people have a reference telemarketer who knows your case perfectly, and home visits Telecare service professionals."
Also, in their homes are installed various risks detectors (smoke, gas, falls ...) or sensor alerts the caregiver (bed or chair occupancy, seizures ...), allowing slow to some extent, the burden the assumed care for the person wearing it out.
