Francisco Martinez Fernandez "Bacares" was named last weekend "Honorary Sergeant," during the course of an act of homage, chaired by the mayor of Eagles.

Authorities, colleagues, family and friends gathered in the halls of the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel to pay tribute to Francisco Martinez Fernandez "Bacares" which after 40 years belonging to the police force has retired.
The event was chaired by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez Gimenez, along with Councilman Safety, Francisco Clemente, the sergeant of the local police, Jose Luis Sanchez, and Officer Jose Antonio Mendez.
Throughout the event, attendees made it clear the professionalism that has accompanied "Bacares" during his years of service in Aguilas, since July 1, 1971 from entering the body, and its enormous human capacity, shown on several times.
The last one, in the earthquakes last year in the neighboring town of Lorca, where Francisco Martinez went as a volunteer in what was his last night of service.
